Power Meets Security: SMARTY’s Ultra-Low Power Processor for PQC & Edge AI
What if your smart device could learn, protect, and process AI? And all without needing a bulky battery or cloud connection?
That’s exactly what we’re building in SMARTY with our Ultra-Low Power Processor for PQC and Edge-AI which is an innovation that combines next-gen security with AI capability in a compact, energy-efficient chip. As quantum computers advance, traditional encryption becomes more vulnerable. But PQC algorithms are computationally intensive. Because we don’t want security to drain your battery! We’re preparing for a world where tiny devices (from connected vehicles to IoT sensors) need to:
- Run AI models locally
- Protect data with Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC)
- Operate on minimal energy, even without internet access
What SMARTY did so far?
- We used IFAG’s Secora Connect secure element (SE) as a temporary platform.
- We developed a demo app with signature validation (see Figure).
- We are preparing for PQC algorithm integration and 5G use cases.

This process isn’t just theoretical. It’s being actively tested for real world applications like smart vehicles and industrial IoT.
